I am running to be the next mayor of our city because I want to put Fort Wayne first. That means putting our people first, the people who live here and the people we are encouraging to move here to grow our community. Keeping them safe, helping their families grow and prosper should be the first goal of any public servant and it has been my passion since getting elected to office.
It is only natural for elections to be portrayed as contests between the people who are running for the office. Mayor Henry and I have experienced this challenge. I do not want to make this contest a personality conflict because the people of Fort Wayne are tired of negative campaigns. Instead I will be focused on offering up my vision for this city, engaging with people as I have for the past year to learn more about how to make that vision a reality and how to be sure it best serves everyone living here.
